Although perhaps not as fun, I cannot think of a better holiday than Mother's Day. You are probably asking, "Why" ? Fair question. My answer is honor. Your mother, as well as your father, gave you life. She nurtured you to an adult, she nurtured your soul, she shaped your personality, created your rights from wrongs, and created a productive member of society. That takes dedication and a tremendous amount of love. I look at what my mom did for me. From the age I can remember, she spent hours shuttling me around town to friends house, baseball practice and games, to school and back, to plays, to movies, to camps, to events, and the list goes on and on. Not to mention cook for me, clean all my clothes, iron them so I didn’t look like I rolled out of bed, cleaned up after my messiness and the all the time teaching me values. Then after doing all that and working for a living, she found time to help me with my homework, attend all my football and baseball games and kept me out of trouble.
For all that, we only honor our mother’s once a year. However, trying to do something special isn’t that easy. So how can we make Mother's Day special ?
Simple gifts sent with a touching poem that explains your feelings towards your mother is a simple yet touching way to get your message across. Where to get such a poem, when so few of us are blessed with the abilities of the great poets who turn words into emotion. Luckily with the internet, poems are not hard to find. It is spending the time to find the one that truly speaks and conveys your feelings is the hard part. Mother's Day poems are spread all over the internet. But luckily, I've found a few spots that really have some great mothers day poems.
I feel that a Mothers day poem and what is said in that poem has to reflect what your heart says. It has so much more meaning when you sit down and take the time to find that one special poem that captures your emotion. On mothers day give her the love from your heart and show that love to your mom on mothers day. She means so much in your life and always will. Moms forget this as their kids grow up and move away, so shower mom with your words of love.....The love she always gave to you.
A Precious Mother
Mom You've given me so much,
Love from your heart
and the warmth of your touch.
The gift of life and you're a friend to me.
We have a very Special Bond
which only comes from God...
I'm sure you agree.
As a child I would say Mommy I Love You,
Now you're my Mother so dear
I love you even more
with each and every new year.
If I could had chosen,
I would have picked no other.
Than for you...to be my lifelong friend
and Precious Mother.
